Lin Coffin is enjoying her new life on the island of Nantucket, Massachusetts. One night while helping her cousin and her cousin’s band members load instruments and equipment into a van, she meets a friendly young couple who help her after she falls on the sidewalk. The next day while working in the garden of a new client, Lin sees the girl again but there is something very wrong.
Lin and her cousin, Viv, with the help of several others, work to solve the mystery of the girl’s disappearance.
This story has ghosts and some mild paranormal elements.

This book was a fast read, suspenseful, interesting and a pleasure to read. I would recommend this book, in fact this series to everyone.
I enjoy J. A. Whiting's books and look forward to each new one. This series is relatively new and I am getting to know the characters. I love the interaction of the central characters and am thoroughly entertained by them and the stories capture my interest. While I am trying to figure out who did it. This one had me guessing until the very end and it did surprise me.
I read both books I would probably read a third, but the books are short and I prefer a book with more stuff. They are well written and definitely hold your attention. But too many cliff hangers and unanswered questions along the way, that didn't need to be.
I'm really enjoying this series. The main character has the ability to see ghosts and her little dog is delightful. The stories are fun and I am planning to purchase the rest of the books.
this is the second book of the series and it was great, the characters are still great, the plot is still great and the mystery is still great and Lin is still learning about herself and her ability. Luckily she has her special ghost to protect her when she finds herself in trouble.....the good part about this series that it is clean yes there is a murder but it is not gory and so far it has already been committed, you just read about it, but it is a nice series to read and I would recommend to read it.
Just when you think you have it all figured out there's this twist and it's not at all who you thought did it. Love books with a surprise ending!
